NEW MARKETING
CO-ORDINATOR |
Margo Cartwright
has joined the CSA as Marketing Co-ordinator to support the
production of Simmental Country. Margo started
February 4th and is based in Granton, Ontario.
“We are very pleased to welcome Ms. Cartwright to our team,”
says CSA Industry and Member Liaison Bruce Holmquist. “She
brings the unique mix of understanding the pure bred cattle
industry as well as having customer service experience and
being bilingual. The fact that she is in Ontario also
enables us to provide strengthened support to members and
clients in Eastern Canada.”
Originally from Prince Edward Island, Cartwright worked for
five years as Embryo Co-ordinator with Semex Alliance where
the main focus of her work was co-ordinating the
international export and import of semen and embryos. She
and her husband have been involved in the Simmental business
for some time having been part of Rolling Acres Farm and now
by operating Boss Cattle Co. based in Granton. She has a
business degree from the University of New Brunswick and,
immediately prior to joining the CSA, was a senior personal
banking officer with Scotiabank.
“I am very excited to be joining the CSA and returning to a
career in an industry I am passionate about, meeting new
people and reconnecting with past acquaintances,” says
Cartwright. “Working with Semex and being a farmer has given
me a greater understanding and appreciation of the cattle
industry and firsthand experience in the marketability of
Canadian genetics and what the Simmental breed has to offer.
I really look forward to working with the cattle community
to move the industry and their businesses forward.”
Cartwright will be working from a home-base office and, in
addition to her work with Simmental Country, will also
working on special Association marketing projects. She can
be reached at:
