The program is designed to assist the breeder with their purebred Simmental operation and provides them with the ability to perform basic operations of a purebred Simmental herd using their personal computer & the internet.

** Important Note: Due to the development of your new Online (web-based) system, we are no longer enrolling new members in the Roundup program.  Feel free to view the high-lights of the Online Simmental system.  If you are interested in receiving a username & password, contact the association office for details.

Some of the highlights of the program include:

Breeding:  Can be entered & sent to the CSA office via the internet

Performance: Calving records can be entered & sent to the CSA office for an entire calf crop year (including; birth, weaning & yearling information).  Adjusted weights, indexes and rankings can be calculated immediately.

Registrations: A breeder can "submit" the registration request on an animal(s) & can "receive" the registration number & EPD's for them within 1 hour.  **The actual registration paper would be printed & mailed the following day.

Total Herd Enrollment (THE):  In one simple operation a breeder can click which females are to be enrolled for a specific assessment year & dispose any females no longer in their herd.

Online User Manual: The manual is designed to walk you through the various operations that you as a seed stock producer are likely to use throughout the year.  The order of the material contained in the manual is presented in a way that is very similar to the basic production cycle within a breeder's herd.  If you are a current Roundup user, please feel free to visit our Roundup Website to attain the most recent version of the online manual.
