CSA's National Cattle Evaluation System was developed by the Animal Breeding Group at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, and provides one of the most complete and accurate genetic evaluation of cattle in the industry.

The system has two basic components - a model which describes factors influencing an animal's record, and a system of equations built on the model which provides estimates of genetic merit using a procedure known as Best Linear Unbiased Prediction (BLUP).

The Spring 2008 Epd's are now available under the Individual  "Animal Search".  ** Please note - we do not print a Fall Sire Summary.

For your convenience, we have developed a Spring 2007 Genetic Evaluation Quick Reference Guide.  You are also welcome to use our animal search function to obtain the most up-to-date EPD's on the animal of your choosing.
